Jewellery Design - @designlore.artbook

I want to start off by saying that this is not a tattoo seminar. It's not even really a seminar. It's basically a crash course in how to diversify your income, support your love of tattooing, identify new income streams, and how to pursue side-hustles efficiently and profitably.

This entire seminar comes from personal experience and there is nothing that I love more than tattooing, but it was in danger from the financial pressure i put on it.

Tattooing has been the single most engaging and supportive aspect of my working life, and this seminar is about how I recognized where my financial stress, work pressure and exhaustion were threatening what I love doing.

I started my first business when I was 12 years old. I took out a $50 loan from my parents for a craft table at a local fair, and began selling my jewellery to the public. I then took my profits, after paying back my loan, and reinvested them in materials to build my business. I then approached a local store that sold beading materials, and worked out a deal where my commissions on my piece is sold directly gave me credit to buy more materials.

Ever since then, I have been empowered and fascinated by creative entrepreneurship, and I know that every single tattooer and marketable artist has the hustle, skill development and creativity to create financial opportunities for themselves.

In my career I have owned six other businesses in industries ranging from jewellery design and manufacture to being an artist contract consultant to Indigenous skills education. I have written several courses on holistic business building and product development for other small businesses and specifically for Tattooers and Indigenous entrepreneurs. I have created custom products for companies like Walmart, Canadian tire, Home Depot and Winners, and have worked with television and film in costume design and manufacture for Disney, Amazon prime, and Netflix.

These don’t have to be your ultimate goals, but in this part motivational seminar, part crash course, I’m going to talk about my personal journey as an entrepreneur and how I applied simple strategies to create opportunities for myself.

Get your art out into the world by accessing different industries, Using your existing clientele, creating new client demographics and economizing on your creative energy to create passive income.

This course is meant to inspire you with easy to access resources and skills you may not even know you had, and start to plan your own strategies to become more financially secure with your art career, inside and outside of tattooing.
